The small producer who create this wine considers it worth of spiritual respect. The name has been given cause this wine is monthly ordered by Vatican City. Priests are well known in Italy for having good taste in wine. Probably Pope and other cardinals like it very much.
This producer has a great passion for Amarone wines and has been long time that is trying to make the "Best Wine of The World". Talking with him, he explained that after years keep trying and trying, finally he did create the best wine of the world, the King af all Amarone wines he said. The current vintage is 2008 and this Amarone is the best all over the Verona province (town of Juliet and Romeo) which this wine come from. He also told me that after blind testing made with friends skeptical about his words, 9 out of 10 prefer his wine instead other great brands such as Petrus, Sassicaia, Lafite Rothschild, Romanee conti, Gaia and so forth.
